Seems sturdy, but does not clamp onto the rail well... almost felt like I was going to break the screw when tightening it down.

Well made, sturdy and with no rediculous external springs to get caught in the wire or brush.  Legs are quick, hydraulic, self-leveling for panic shots, (but can be readjusted and tightened down if you've got time). The feet are for the real world, not those "cute" rubber tips for the range or urban environs. They kind of remind me of the ones they had on M-60's. I may add a couple of extra mounting screws with the swivel mount set up.
