This bipod is extremely sturdy. I use the barrel mount with my .270 and after going through some rounds at the range, it's still solid. I did but some Lock-Tite on a the main "thumb adjuster" to ensure it doesnt slip, but I'm not even sure that was necessary. Like I said, great bipod. Highly pleased.
