The same occurred to me as well; one shot and the plastic string knock shattered...one shot. I was very disappointed.

the product looked good in the package.
the parts that go with it are very cheap.
Hoping to get a new one, or replacement parts for what broke. We shot it 1 time and the part that holds the string broke, into several pieces.
